Every year the Club Members compete for a total of 8 internal Competitions.
In all of the team events the teams are drawn with the intention of teaming new / inexperienced bowlers with their more experienced Club colleagues.
While this doesn’t always work out that way, it does give the newer bowlers a chance to gain experience and – if they are lucky – a chance to win a trophy.
Here is a list of the most commonly played formats for club competitions. The dates for 2026 will be confirmed on the annual calendar shortly
Australian Pairs
This is a drawn competition. The format is different to standard competitions. In the first end, the Lead plays TWO bowls, The Skip plays FOUR bowls and then the Lead plays the remaining TWO bowls. In the next end the Skip becomes the Lead and follows the same format. This repeats throughout the 18 ends. Other than this, normal Federation rules apply and there are no restrictions.
